Mind Lab session 2

MIND LAB Session 2

Tonight Kay Simpson, Janene Giordano, and myself created a video about our new learning.
Reading Real-World Problem-Solving and Innovation. (ITL Research Microsoft Partnerships in Learning)
While making a movie was challenging we all stepped up to the challenge that children face in classrooms everyone, learning something new and foreign. All three of us worked together while meeting both personal and professional challenges.
What made it successful...
Having clear instructions around expectations and outcomes. Having clear time expectations and time management (terrible clock). Having a person who could support us if required. The most important factor was we worked together, understood each other and respected each others strengths and weaknesses.

Mind Lab

Well we have started on our post grad journey. Allandale School has always been a school that encourages continual learning and I'm so proud of all of the 6 who are embarking on this study together.  Drew, Kay, Sam, Katrina, Janene and myself.
Session one:
We met, we discussed, created and shared. However the one thing that struck me was the fact that all of the teachers at WIS library on Wednesday night had already given a full day's work to about 27 children and were still fully engaged and enthusiastic about learning together at 7.00 at night. The teaching profession are an awesome group.
IF KNOWLEDGE IS POWER THEN EDUCATION IS EMPOWERING.
